The Birth of the Church (Acts 2)

You may be one of the many people who struggle with the idea of church. Either you or friends of yours may have been hurt by the church. Yet here you are this afternoon gathering with God’s people. As sinners, we mess church up continually either with unhealthy and unbiblical power dynamics or when we sin against each other. But the idea of church isn’t ours, God came up with it. He created the church, cares for His church and is coming back for His bride, the church. Why did God establish the church and for what purpose?
