At first glance, “humble confidence” might seem like an oxymoron. How can someone be both humble and confident at the same time? In a world that often equates confidence with self-promotion and personal achievement, humility can seem like the opposite of strength. But in the life of faith, humble confidence isn’t just possible—it’s essential.

So where does your confidence come from?

For many, confidence is rooted in their abilities, education, appearance, wealth, or accomplishments. But what happens when those things fade, fail, or fall apart? If our confidence is built on temporary things, it will always be shaky. True, lasting confidence must be grounded in something—or Someone—unchanging.

As followers of Jesus, our confidence doesn’t come from who we are or what we can do, but from who God is and what He has done for us.

We are not confident because we are able—but because God is.

Join us this Sunday at 4 PM as we reflect on Moses' humble confidence before Pharaoh—faith not in his own strength, but in the God who sent him..

We gather at 31 Atlantic Avenue
